This was an unfinished drawing I had saved for months and finally decided to complete! This is my VOK lion Celestia and her little brother Rowan.

"But do they have to come?" Celestia looked pleadingly at her mother.

"Yes they do," she said firmly.

"But...they're so small. They can't play for real yet. And we never get to spend time with you just us anymore."

"I promise I'll try to make some time for us to spend together just us, okay? But for this trip everyone is going to come."

"Alright," Celestia said reluctantly, glancing down at her paws.

"I love you," her mother said before leaning over to hug her gently.

Even though she wasn't happy that her younger brothers were coming along she didn't want to hurt her mother's feeling to Celestia hugged her back then watched her leave to make sure everyone else was ready.

They were having a picnic today, celebrating something that she had already forgotten. Celestia was just eager to be outside for a while. Once they got to the right spot she quickly slipped away with her brothers. Nearby she saw her mother's guard Ravi, watching over Nthanda and them as well.

He was always there so Celestia had grown used to his presence and even liked him. If she hadn't she would've tried to get out of his line of sight already. But he didn't usually stand in the way of her fun.

Soon she got wrapped up in her game with her brothers anyway and they 'hid' themselves away until their mother told them it was time to eat.

"You eat like it's your last meal," she teased her brother Dumi.

"Well you're one to talk," he retorted, nudging their brother Tendai as he leaned over to answer her.

"Watch it," their brother grumbled.

"Don't be crabby,' Celestia chided with a grin, earning a sigh from Tendai and amused looks from her other two brothers.

"Celestia, come here would you?"

Celestia looked up at her mother's voice then stood and walked over to her. "Can you watch Rowan a few minutes while I help Silvanus get cleaned up?"

Celestia was about to protest, wanting to rejoin her brothers, but something in her mother's look stopped her and she nodded. "Okay."

Nthanda smiled and thanked her then took Silvanus over to where one of the servants was waiting to help, leaving Rowan on a blanket in the corner of the shelter.

Celestia walked over to him and he looked up at her, his eyes wide and almost adoring in a way that made her irritation start to fade. He growled a little, seeming playful.

"Yeah, hey to you too," she said.

The cub yawned and plopped over on her paw, closing his eyes. Despite her best efforts Celestia couldn't help but smile. "I guess you're kind of cute. A little."

The cub made a small grunting noise as if in agreement, making her chuckle softly. "Yeah, you're not so bad. Maybe one day when you're bigger we'll be...friends."

The cub began to snore and Celestia carefully moved her paw, lowering him onto the blanket. "Sleep well little brother."
