so i straight up had a weird dream where there were these little bee dragon things and the more i dwell on it the more i think, "wow, my subconscious just came up with a great idea" so i might make a few of these guys?? i've been calling them mescebees because they were like. supposed to be able to do some kind of fusion thing i don't know how to implement without it being dumb
there were two renditions of this throughout the dream,, we had what looked like blue combee and then these puffy little dragon things that i guess were supposed to be like bees so i guess that's what im doing
what i've come up with:
- in every nesting colony they have many "drones" (workers) and a singular "monarch", (king or queen 'bee)
- they nest in cliffsides and whatnot and burrow like really big gophers (oversized ant colony??)
- usually about as big as a 14 liter storage box, but the monarchs are generally a tad bigger (usually taller, larger wings)
- the monarchs are not the only breeding 'bees among the nest, they are simply the overseers of production to keep things going
anywho i was thinking that this could be a cool arpg but i don't have time for that unless someone helps me oof,,, for now i might do a few of these independent designs off of them to get a feel for em. full lineart would ofc be cleaner and not a little doodle like this
if i do end up making a full arpg out of them, if you purchase independent ones you are free to keep them seperate or you could transfer them in i guess?? idk,, you do you
