Level One - Level Two

G2: Explain your groups home within the territory, where do they sleep/make their dens? [150]
It’s safe to say Glideclan’s lives revolve around the willow trees in their territory. They thrive on laying under them, resting inside of their long branches thick with falling leaves, and climbing them to gaze at the expense of everglades around them. The cats live where a circle of strong and old willow trees grow. There is a clearing of solid plain, surrounded by the trees. But over the years, the trees have been hollowed out; and now, the cats of Glideclan sleep inside of the hollow trees. All around the camp lay the Leader’s den, the Warriors den, nursery, etc; all of them inside of the trunks of the willow trees so beloved by Glideclan. And they wouldn’t have it any other way; they love the damp smell of the tree, the safety and security it provides; they pull the leaves off the trees and use them as bedding, lining for the nursery walls. The kittens are born in a willow, they grow up scratching the willow bark and chasing it’s leaves around the camp, taking in the scent of the willow, climbing it as far as they can go on dares, and feeling the breeze blow through their fur, feeling one with it. Glideclan will never feel as secure, as happy, as they do in their camp, in their home made out of the very material of their lives. Their willow trees.

G4: What sort of creatures (Prey or predator) populate your group’s territory? [150]
CHOMP!
All it takes is one bite. An opening of the mouth, a lining of teeth sharpened solely for the purpose of killing. It takes a simple movement for them to take off your head, your tail, to swallow you whole. And they won’t hesitate to do it, either. We taste good to them, you know? You like fish? Huh? What’s your favorite kind? Oh - minnows, huh? That’s all we are to them. Minnows in a sea - except we’re really rare, oh yes, a special treat to them. So whenever they catch one of us grazing in the sun by their swamp, or going for a stroll - they leap out of the water, mouth wide open, and they swallow us whole! And they love it. They love how we taste.
Yes, I know, young one. It IS scary. It’s downright horrifying. But it’s important you know this.
These crocodiles - they are merciless. They don’t care. All they think about is their next meal, and where it comes from. And if they want it to be you, and they can get to you, then it’s going to BE you. So exercise caution, sweet one. I want to see you grow old, become an old mousefart like me. So you’ll listen when we say not to go north, right? Where the big, bad, evil crocodiles live, huh?
That’s good. Because we’re want to be food for the worms one day; not the crocodiles.

G9: What is the role of the young in your group? When is a cat considered old enough to be an adult? Is there a rite of passage? [150]
The young of Glideclan are not expected to do anything but listen.
And this is forced into their minds even at a young age. There’s barely any boundaries in the camp; just a surrounding of willow trees. But once you pass them, there’s a rocky downfall, full of boulders and loose rocks than can kill in seconds, if you aren’t careful, and don’t know where to jump. Not to mention, a kitten that heads north to explore the wonders of the swamp will almost never return; because north lies the crocodiles, the alligators, the evil kitten-snatchers.
So listen children, and listen well. Since they are born they are to stay in camp. The most dire of consequences will come from disobeying…
But that just makes cats even more sneaky, right?
At 6 moons, you’re an apprentice.
Well, officially. But you’re not - ONE OF THEM - until you do the test.
The climb.
To the west lies the biggest willow tree known to the cats. It has to be hundreds of years old; it reaches the sky, and is strong as ever, with branches touching both the ground and the clouds.
To be an apprentice, to fit in with the others, you’ve got to reach the top.
For at the top lies a hollow where several bones lay. Once a cat becomes a warrior, they must go to the top with a bone in their mouth and place it there. To become an apprentice, you’ve got to go get one, and make it back down safe.
The cats of the clan don’t necessarily approve of this ritual, but none of them have ever NOT done it. What’s the best defense against an alligator? Climb. So you’ll learn to do it, and do it well.

G5: What is a symbol that represents your group ? [50]
When a leader becomes a leader, they go to the ancient willow.
This particular tree has a hollow that leads down, down to a mossy, hidden undergrowth, filled with red mushrooms and gossamer moss. In the middle is a large, smooth stone.
When a cat lays on it, they dream.
When a soon to be leader lays on it, when they awake, there is an addition to the rock.
Their symbol.
Each leader gets their own, reminiscent of themselves, and how they will lead. The rock holds symbols of countless leaders. Some keep theirs secret. Others show off their symbols with pride. The rock will never run out of space for the symbols, and it will never be rid of any. Each cat that has left a mark on Glideclan through leadership will have their mark, their symbol, there, forever.
