A good way to practice on something is the 3 color challenge or some kind of daily inking/drawing challenge. Prompts are also really good & sometimes when I want to work on drawing certain types of animals I draw other people's characters
I hate coloring traditionally so to make myself get better I start our with just coloring my drawings with one color for blush or something then I go onto a couple more so slowly doing something more & more often could help
