Dr. Rebeck is a therapist who specializes in family turmoil, divorces and deaths of loved ones.
She takes a rather holistic approach to therapy, helping her patients figure out and understand all factors of why they're experiencing troubles in their life. She promotes the importance of tranquility and taking time in nature to help feed the soul.

Her most difficult patient is Sal, a recently divorced tech support worker. He swings wildly between not accepting that anything from his marriage's failure was his fault, and believing that due to his mistakes he is the worst individual ever to scourge this Earth. Nevertheless, she sees the good buried within him and is passionate about bringing it to the surface.
