He's my main character, so he shares a lot of interests/etc with me (bc I have maladaptive daydreaming lmao)

Honestly, understandable
I try to make my main kids not share interests with me but it doesn't... work very well :,)
I love your kid though <3 <3 He's very soft~

thank you!! parts of him are actually kinda like me (even though I'm not a guy) and parts of him are kinda like what I wish I was (like his kinda-edgy-but-v-soft aesthetic),,,, my other characters have unique traits/etc though! I think they all show a little bit of some side of me but I mean that's how good characters are made :)

hONESTLY ME TOO my two favorite kids are very similar to me but they also aren't at the same time, somehow? I wish I could have a character that's different for once but :,)

SAME i think the only way to get a character that's totally unlike you is to buy one from someone else, but I don't ever really use characters other people made lol
(no shade on people that do though)

That's way too true, honestly. I have a couple characters who came with backstories that I liked so they aren't really like me, but only because I didn't make them :') I find it hard to get attached and stay attached to designs I make because I don't like my designs enough most of the time :')
