i think it depends on what you're going for! if you want a simplistic but pretty background, that looks awesome! but if you'd like to add more detail, you could make it look more like a sunset by adding some clouds or stars <3

I was planning on going sunset and I was going to add stars and clouds but I wasn't sure if the main part itself was decent since to me the colours look oddly blended

If you’re going for a detailed character though I would suggest leaving it as one simple color or something more simple.

The character isn't that detailed just a few blotches on their face ^^'
