mozzie wolves, also known by their scientific name of canis gambiae, are a recently-discovered species. this species' most striking feature is their giant eyes suited for navigating through darkness. these eyes usually come in shades or orange or yellow, although the eyes of domesticated mozzie wolves can come in a wide variety of colours, and are similar in shape to those of an aye-aye. their forepaws are long, four-toed and vaguely ferretlike, while their hind paws are more canine-like. their other more conspicuous attribute is their extremely long and thin snout. their teeth are small but sharp like a possum's. their most interesting adaptation of all, however, is the fact that they are invincible to most common illnesses, their incredible immune systems and extremely corrosive stomach acid killing almost any virus they get. however, these animals have a hidden weapon. whenever a mozzie wolf gets a disease, it is carried through the bloodstream and trapped in glands above the canine teeth, where it mingles with saliva, causing the animal to be able to poison it's prey with the same illness that attacked it. wild mozzie wolves are often seen biting each other's noses and heads to help their packmates gain more toxic properties. they are very social and talkative, cackling like hyenas when fighting or excited, and purring when content.
mozzie wolves have a slightly heightened intelligence compared to other canids, but it doesn't compare to human intelligence. they are easily trained and often kept as exotic pets.
