I've been raising rabbits for about four years now, and this little holland lop started it all!
My grandparents (and mother) own rental property, and my mom had been told by my grandmother that there was a cage over there we could use for our hens. She went to pick up the cage, then called my grandmother a few minutes later...
"What about the rabbit in the cage?"
"There's no rabbit in the cage."
"... Yes, there is?"

The owner came out and said if she wanted him, she could have him; he was "too poopy". And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how I got my first rabbit that started our rabbitry!
