this is honestly just for myself so i dont forget.

this actually only works in oekaki bc of the way oekaki's transform tool works-- rather than flipping the copied later relative to the original selection, oekaki flips things relative to the entire canvas, which gives you a perfect axis. this doesn't work exactly the same way in other programs but there are workarounds for using mostly the same technique
