Heat's Out

Six awoke from her spot curled around her mate Coco to find the room was freezing. The very whiskers on her face had frozen so stiff she was afraid if she bumped them on the wall they would shatter!
Careful to not wake the sleeping Coco.... How was Coco still asleep in this bitter cold?... Six tiptoed to the living room of their cottage and around into the den where her winter coat hung.
Six pulled on the coat. Dismayed, she realized it was still ice cold. Not wanting to return to Coco and wake her with her frigid touch, she walked around to make sure everything was still set for the morning. The stocking were hung, the treats fro Santa Claws laid out, and outside the wind blew.
Shivering, Six decided to return to Coco. She may be cold, but Christmas nights are better spent curled up with loved ones.
