Autism is a developmental condition that impairs the ability to communicate like others. Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a complex developmental condition; signs typically appear during early childhood. People with autism often find it difficult to interact with others. ASD is defined by a certain set of behaviors and is a “spectrum condition” that affects individuals differently and to varying degrees. There is no known single cause of autism, but increased awareness and early diagnosis/intervention and access to appropriate services/supports lead to significantly improved outcomes. The diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder is applied based on analysis of all behaviors and their severity.
I believe that autism is very misunderstood. Please ask to be added.
RULES
Only rainbow pets. We all probably have a thousand multi-colored pets, but only truly rainbow-colored pets are accepted. If you don't have one, a very colorful pattern is OK.
Try not to crowd them in.
Only rainbow/ multicolored pets/accessories that don't take up too much space.
Please don't add anything to the scene except for pets and accessories.
Don't cover up anyone's pets or accessories.
If you must move a pet, only move it a little bit. Don't add or take away accessories to other peoples pets.
Use common sense. If you wouldn't want it happening to you, don't do it to anyone else.
No more than 3 pets (for now)
Autism awareness and acceptance are very different things. Acceptance is where we accept people with autism for who they are, and we often use words like "love", "acceptance", "beautiful for who they are", and other friendly words.
Awareness often uses the mindset that autism is a "problem that must be solved", "children with autism are stupid and must be gotten rid of", and "if you have autism, you will never be good enough". None of these are true. People with autsim just a little different.
I offer my apologies if anything that I say offends anyone. Please don't rant about it in the replies. I support autism acceptance, but if anything that I say offends people, especially people with autism, tell me nicely.
