However, they were forced to became friends for the sake of survival. They were left at a port and neither of them knew much about surviving on their own. Farhan is cuter, though Daviant will not admit it - and tends to garner the attention of the dumb village humans while Daviant sneaks off and nabs things for them to eat and things to use. Daviant is also an incredibly skilled hunting dog and has become the bread winner of the duo. Farhan is far more of a show off - he likes to knick pointless things such as collars and jewelry from people as they are distracted by his beauty. They still fight and butt heads often, like about Farhan continually wearing a collar which attracts the attention of the villagers more. Farhan on other hand despises that Daviant refuses to groom themselves more, and how often they are covered in mud and other filth. Daviant obviously has better things to do then worry about his appearance.

Overall, Farhan is a carefree boy who enjoys the finer things in life - and tricking people into giving him those things. Daviant is more goal oriented and is fully invested in survival versus comfort. The two of them together make an unlikely yet successful team even if it's against their own wishes.

Their previous owners may have had an impact on who they are now. Farhan was owned by the Captain, and absolutely spoiled rotten while being aboard the ship. He ate the finest meats and slept on the finest beds. Daviant was owned by a regular crew member, who struggled to even take care of themselves. His owner gave him scraps whenever he could, though he was often too hungry to spare anything for his companion. Daviant also slept on the wooden floors of the ship, usually right next to his human companion to keep them safe as they slept.

They were abandoned due to a powershift within the crew, a mutiny occurred and the Captain was overthrown and killed. The new Captain was much crueler; he killed off any crew who did not agree with him and threw the dogs off the ship as soon as they hit a port. He saw them as useless - they took up room and ate food that could be given to the crew. Their friendship blossomed here - The new Captain absolutely despised Farhan and tried to attack him. Daviant didn't like Farhan either, but knew he could not stand by and let this happen. He jumped in the way and took the brute of the force before they were thrown onto the port's deck. Farhan had to then nurse Daviant back to health and it was then their relationship shifted.

They may have come from different backgrounds, and have very different outlooks - but they refuse to leave each other behind. It wouldn't be worth surviving if they didn't have eachother.

au explanation; This all takes place in an anthropomorphic Pokémon AU. Cecil and Jeanie are Pokémon trainers (of varying sorts), and there will be mentions of various other characters involved in this AU throughout this form. The AU itself takes place in a fanmade region known as the Anukoh Region - at the moment there are no fanmade Pokémon residing in the region, but to make things simpler (and more interesting), Pokémon from all pre-existing regions can be found here. There is, as like every Pokémon game, an antagonistic team that exists to provide conflict for our protagonists: Team Domino, a monochromatic-based villainous organization which aims to dominate the world through manipulation and forced assimilation. personality; Cecil is an unusual case - a villain who has somewhat of a moral compass, but isn't quite all the way there, it seems. Sure, Cecil is ruthless in battle. He has to be - as one of the four admins of Team Domino, it's his job to make sure their goal is achieved with as few bumps in the road as possible. Team Domino has no time for pesky little brats who run in thinking they can be heroes, and seeing as most of the grunts are entirely incompetent, it's one of Cecil's main duties to make sure these pests are crushed before they can become too much of a nuisance. However, it should be noted that Cecil isn't completely heartless... While he does come off as stoic and cold, he's known for being the most lenient of the admins when it comes to wannabe-heroes. He won't let anyone past whom he doesn't believe has a single chance of defeating any of the higher-up's. In fact, he's known for warning the kids exactly of what will happen if they battle him. He knows how failed protagonists have ended up in the past after dealing with Team Domino, and he doesn't want to see it happen again.

personality; Jeanie's a laid-back optimist, to sum it up briefly. She's mellow, moreso a "go with the flow" kind of girl who rarely gets mad. While she can be a bit lazy at times, she has a fairly solid idea of what she wants to do with her life: she wants to be the champion of the Anukoh Region, and travel the world. She wants to be free, see what this world has to offer her, and she's not one to take no for an answer. A persistent little thing with an endgame in sight, even though it couldn't be any farther away. She's got high hopes for both herself and for her team, and who knows? Maybe she might even end up a hero one of these days.

relationship; Most would think that, due to their roles and alignments, these two would be sworn enemies. However, that is simply not the case - you see, while they have met before on several occasions, they don't truly know each other. They don't know what each other's ambitions are, or what their belief system is like. That doesn't necessarily mean they don't know each other period. Of course, there has to be something tying them together, right? That 'something' is Cecil's unusual fascination with the girl. He's taken on a role of a kindly father figure for her, and while they both are unaware of the other's alignment, whenever they're together, Cecil becomes her sworn protector. what is their relationship?
Rex and Roxie utterly despise each other. They both adore their owner Dex and will act on their best behaviour around them, even going as far as competing with each other for Dexes time and affection. These two are constantly at war with each other. Their rivalry has been apparent since they were introduced to each other. Dex purchased Rex from a local breeder and two earth years later Dex got Roxie from a childhood friend who's dog had had puppies. (The inhabitants of Mars are using the Earth's year calendar to prevent confusion when communicating with those on Earth.) Rex didn't mind Roxie at first, but he soon changed his mind when Roxie started taking up all of Dexes time and affection. As Roxie grew up he became very competitive with Rex, only further fueling Rexes dislike for Roxie. They were on mutual terms for a while, both choosing to ignore each other instead of fight. But with Dex having recently left them home alone for months on end, their rivalry has sparked up again.

Dex hasn't actually left them home alone. He's left his trusted ai to care for his home and pets whilst he's away piloting a spaceship and he has a friend check the dogs every few days. The ai is called Thee. Thee was designed and created on Earth, but sold off to Dex when the creator moved onto a different project. Thee speaks with hatred of their creator, but they respect Dex, for some reason. Many people think Thee is basically just a glorified voice activated cleaning system, but Thee's abilities go far beyond this. Thee handles most tasks whilst Dex is away, including feeding the dogs. Dex resumes these chores when they are at home, however. Thee also makes sure Rex and Roxie get along. With watch points from almost everywhere in the house, there's nowhere where Rex and Roxie isn't supervised. Thee gets quite the attitude when they misbehave and Rex is terrified of Thees voice. Roxie is just spooked by the echoing voice in general. The dogs reluctantly act like they're getting along in order to keep Thee happy. They're likely just fed up of Thees voice telling them off when they fight.

Rex Personality:
Rex is extremely loyal to his owner. He would risk his life for Dex if he ever found Dex in danger. Without a second thought his protective instincts kick in and Rex turns from being the gentle floofy boy he is into being a fierce warrior. Or at least, he would become agressive towards whatevers putting Dex in danger. He's never done this in real life, though several times his fears have popped up in his dreams and triggered this reaction. Thankfully once Rex is asleep he hardly moves. Rex is usually very gentle and friendly towards people and he loves getting petted. He'll become very jealous if you spend more time with Roxie than him and then he will go pout in the corner.

Roxie Personality:
Roxie is active, playful and fun loving. He's dull of energy and really all he wants is to play fetch. Sadly the dogs aren't able to go out of the house until Thee has completed its physical form. So for now, Thee entertains Roxies need for adventure and new things by placing new and strange things for Roxie to find.

what is their relationship? The two were enemies at one point, but became friends when their lives were at stake.
extras: (optional) The two were both stray dogs at one point. Autumn was the alpha of a pack and Drizzle, a lone dog. One day, Autumn found Drizzle stealing from her camp. She cornered him and threatened to kill him unless he gave her a good reason not to. Drizzle, panicking, said he would join her pack as an Omega. Autumn agreed, but forced Drizzle to do most of the work and let the other Omegas rest. This built up a hatred in Drizzle for the alpha, but he never had a chance to express it as a meer week later, the pack was attacked by it's much larger neighbor. All the dogs were killed but Autumn, who saved Drizzle and ran away. The two quickly became friends after Autumn's life saving action. They found an owner not long after and live happily now.

What is their relationship? Ozzie and Cinnabon were in the same area when they were dropped off at the shelter. Ozzie was at the shelter for a decent amount of time before Cinnabon arrived. No other dog wanted to be around Ozzie, because he was such a big and fluffy dog he just seemed intimidating. Not only that, but Ozzie was not comfortable with any of the dogs the staff tried pairing him with. Ozzie was going to be used for dog fighting. He was put up for sale by his owners once they lost interest in him, and they ended up selling him for something he was not worth and he fell into the wrong hands. Before anything could happen to sweet Ozzie, somebody had found the dog fighting hideout and police were involved as soon as a report was made. Although Ozzie did not experience what it was like to be in the ring, he witnessed a lot of the fighting and abuse that went on in the operation. Most of the dogs that came through the shelter and were housed with Ozzie made him nervous or aggravated, but that changed when Cinnabon came to the shelter a few weeks later. She smelled of treats and had a very calm demeaner. She did not move quickly and her presence was as gentle as could be. Ozzie felt as ease the moment Cinnabon came into his holding area and I guess you could say he had a little crush as well! Even though there were two beds, Cinnabon enjoyed sleeping on the floor next to Ozzie. Ozzie and Cinnabon have been inseparable ever since and will always be hip to hip!
