Help?

Postby Falløutatthediscø » Sat Jul 14, 2018 6:38 pm

Hi, I'm looking for some tips about my art? I'm trying to find my own style and just get better in general.

It's hard to do art digitally right now because by lab top isn't the best and all I have is a key pad.. looking to get a better lab top sometime this year and maybe a tablet.

But if anyone has any tips at all they would be much appreciated!

don't give up. look back at your old drawings, and realize how much you've improved since then, and how much you are continuing to improve now. use references as much as possible. practicing anatomy can seriously improve your art (although your art is already amazing). finding a style can take years, and even then, it can still change. don't be too focused on finding a style. it will come naturally. try new things; experiment as much as you can. please, do not be afraid to step out of your comfort zone. your art is stunning, especially for someone who draws with a mouse/trackpad. i can't wait to see you improve even more-- i wish you the best of luck, my friend! <3

try to draw as often as possible, just don't do it to the point that
your arm hurts! (it's not fun, haha, ouch)

like LittleBodyBigHeart said, try using references! it helps a ton with
anatomy and proportions.

when trying to figure out a style, just mess around with things! like
making the fur look different, changing the eye style, things like that! c:
