'Ah, welcome, Our most loyal subject, We were expecting you.' The Queen's androgynous voice was boosted by the acoustics in her chamber, her guards stood at their post by the tunnel leading into it.
Where am I?
'You, Our most loyal subject, are in the Queen's Quarters, well... Our quarters.' The queen giggled lightheartedly. 'I assume you wish to know what goes on here, yes?' She asked, tilting her head.
'We would be happy to explain.' She smiled and cleared her throat. 'This is where our drones are born. But there is more to this place than that.'
'We are sure you have seen your fellow drones coming and going from this place, yes? Hmm, well, once in their lifetime a drone will come to visit us or our princesses to take part in a ritual activity. It is important that we increase the strength of our people, correct?' She waits a moment for a response before continuing.
'Drones, upon reaching maturity, create a substance similar to the royal jelly eaten by young princesses. Eventually, they lose the ability to create this substance, and will collect and form it into a more dense form of itself before bringing it to the chamber of a royal, who will then feed on the drone's offerings.' She noticed a look of confusion, the corners of her eyes wrinkling with a tempered amusement only seen in royal waspirants.
'The substance contains genetic information and nutrients we need to birth higher tier drones. While a base drone will provide a decent amount of this information, a first tier drone will provide more valuable information, and so on and so forth~' She lifted a newly hatched larva and smiled, nuzzling it gently. 'Without this, our people would be too weak to survive. We must evolve to thrive.'
Guidelines
-You may only have one base drone per queen/princess unless stated otherwise
-A drone may only breed once, and the created offspring must wait at least a weak to reproduce unless stated otherwise.
-Breedings will produce one to four offspring (chosen by a random number generator), owner of the bred drone can pick one of the offspring to keep as their next tier drone.
