a rat's story part 3 (chapter 5&6)

chapter 5

snow woke up happy. she was going with rex to look at the cats. "it will be a good day"snow told herself. "probably will be"simon replied.
simon had not been in the den when she woke up lately so his voice surprised snow. "how is it good for you?"snow asked. "well it will be great for me i know"simon replied. "why?" asked snow "i have a date today! a date with roxi!" simon told snow. snow wondered why he was so excited, she did not understand love at all. snow left the den to see dusty but dusty was hanging out with jax. "dusty?" snow called. "what?" dusty asked "want to see the cats with me and rex?" snow asked. "no!" dusty replied. "why? it was fun!" snow replied.
"i'm not going to hang with you anymore. you do stuff that could kill us! and i don't wish to ruin my chance of going out with jax." dusty told snow. snow was not sure what to say. now dusty was in love to? she and dusty use to hang out but now dusty just left. snow was heartbroken. she ran off to meet rex. "hey rex" said snow sadly "are you always sad?" rex asked. "i'm just sort of upset" snow replied.
"ok" said rex. "lets look at the cats" said snow. they looked at the cats for a long time before night grew close and they went to their dens

chapter 6

callie woke up sadly. she was to old to play with the young kittens now and it made her sad. she left her den and saw all the cats talking. she remembered that today was her big day. she would stand guard on the large rock that night. she went to meet tom. tom was second in command and would give her info on guarding the cats that night. "hello tom" callie called out. "i have been waiting" tom told her. "i know." callie replied. "anyway here is the info." tom told her "you will keep out rats and owls as well as watch for humans. you must not fall asleep. you may sleep at day but night is when you do your job. one more thing, we spotted a golden yellow cat last night. keep her out of our camp. callie understood what he meant. she had seen the golden cat herself. she left and hung out with dust and holly for a bit then went to get a bit of sleep to keep her awake that night.
