a rat's story part 2 (chapter 3&4)

chapter 3

snow and dusty were looking down at the cats when the heard a noise. "don't look at those cats from that close!"yelled a rat. snow looked back and saw fang. fang was the eldest rat in the forest, he was black and white with blue eyes. the only rat to share his pattern was jax who was fang's little brother. "oh sorry" replied dusty calmly. "we were only looking!"yelled snow. "if they see you the cats will kill you!"fang hissed showing his oddly sharp tooth. fang had only one tooth due to loosing the rest of them in a fight with a cat. he was the only rat who remembered the war of cats and rats. "cats wont ever change." he told them. "how do you know?"snow asked. "i just do" he replied. "now go home." dusty ran home quickly but snow walked home sadly. "hey! are you ok snow?"asked a voice. it was rex. rex was a brown and white male rat who always wanted to hang out with snow. "i'm fine."snow told rex. "i just wanted to get a better look at the cats" rex looked at her then looked at the canyon. he saw the cats and wondered about them a lot. "well you could try to see them better one the grass grows taller and fang cant see you."he told her. "i can help if you want!" "sure!" replied snow as she looked at the cats from afar.

chapter 4

callie waited for tiger to let her in the cave, she could see holly and dust watching her from across the river. "come in"tiger commented. callie entered the cave. "now i tell you our story"tiger told callie. tiger looked like a tiger in all ways callie could think of,
tiger also spoke in a odd way a lot of the time. "it is time you learn of our first war."tiger told callie "it was a long time ago, i was just a kitten but i was a huge help. i knocked the teeth out of one rat. but here is the story. it was years ago and i was helping care for my brother when the rats attacked us. we were helpless. there were only 10 of us cats and 20 rats. i ran to help fight we were losing i saw a rat attack my brother and ran to help. the rat lost most of his teeth but got away. we won but lost 4 cats. i built the stone wall to keep them out."tiger told callie. tiger looked angry. "you may leave" tiger to callie. callie walked home thinking about the tales of war she had been told.
