Weird right? but he fears them because he doesnt know what they are, he thinks they are what greets you when you die and everytime a star falls they are greeting someone to take them to hell or heaven. Every time he sees a falling star he freaks out in fear of it coming for him.

He doesn't realize it's not the stars he's afraid of.
