hobby ;; Stargazing and dreaming
Iri's eyes slowly close as the seemingly glowing night sky is covered up by her endless imagination. A song
lightly fades in through her earphones, still on low volume so the gentle singing voice seems to neatly
flow as her wild thoughts take over.
♫"Here we go, come with me. There's a world out there that we should see~."♫ She sighs gently as
she lays down on the soft grass beneath her, opening her eyes sleepily to reveal the endless abyss of stars
that watch over her. The cold wind blows gently against her fur and the grass around her tilts slightly,
almost as if they were swaying in time with the soothing music.
A shooting star enters Iri's field of vision
as her soft eyes drift along the skyline, following the shining star. 'Make a wish..' her subconscious almost
seemingly whispers to her. Her eyelids once again gently close over her wandering eyes as she murmurs
to herself; "I wish I could just stay here... forever". The sound of the calm breeze comes to a halt as all
reality seems to do the same. The only movement is the soft light that occasionally shows itself from
beyond the very few clouds that lay with each other in the night sky. A melodic tune still glides through
Iri's ears, calming her mind.
The moon shone on the nearby pond, life was flourishing everywhere from
the flowerbeds beneath the canopy of tree tops to the birds that soar above the calm land. She soon
heard a barely noticeable sound through her music "iri... Iri... IRI!" She jolted awake from her dream, startled, and fell
off her bed, landing upside-down on the floor. Her college room mate, and best friend, was standing
above her with a smug look on her face "You slept in, I wasn't just gon' leave ya here." Parli said as she
walked off to get changed to her barista apron. "Ugh.." Iri groaned, rubbing her head "You could have just
poked me awake you realize." She said, rolling her eyes and chuckling slightly. "Eh, I figured I'd let ya
sleep. Looked like you were having a good dream." A slight smile tugged at the corners of Iris lips as she
remembered her dream, "Yea, it was pretty great" she giggled. "Well, It better have been if it's gonna
make you 3 hours late for sword practice." Parli laughed as Iri's face froze and looked at the clock to
reveal that she was telling the truth. She started frantically packing her bag and running down the hallway
with a partially burnt bagel in her mouth. 'Damn, reality is such a bummer compared to dreams...' she
thought to herself as she zoomed down the halls to her swordsmanship class.
Whenever she can, she will be sleeping to return to the calm land of her imagination where dreams become reality.
