The world is such a shockingly varied place, I could never choose just one shade, much less one color.
The blue of the midnight stars on the ocean, the teal of the frozen sea ice, the blazing glory of ruby, crimson, and sulfur found within a single flame. The serenity of the solemn grays and greens found within the ancient forest that knows its own subtle peace, the reaching yellows of the endless rolling desert, the dusty reds of the mesa.
The laughing colors of cotton candy pink and sugar spun purple, the colors that we see around us in the natural world and so we find ways to die them into our clothes, paint them on our walls, color them onto papers, for the mere pleasure of it. Colors of the sky and the sea and the earth permeate our very existence, to the point that primary colors regulate traffic and every child knows green means go.
We could live with every shade of gray and live poorer lives for it, but I for one, could never have just one favorite.

Personality
Glister is a quiet soul, rarely, if ever, speaking. He feels an endless longing to roam and strays far from the shore, seeking out the deep secrets of the deep ocean. He had an utter fascination with the things unseen and that fascination seems to have buried itself in his heart for to most, he is a mystery unto himself

Relationships
The only other glossy seal that he has a close relationship with is Gera. They don't talk together, but sometimes she manages to entice him into a game of hide-and-seek. He enjoys her company in small doses but he finds that she overwhelms him if he spends too much time with her
