what is a space baby? *:･ﾟ☆

born in tandem with the stars themselves, space babies are creatures that scour the cosmos in search of... destiny! each start out as idealistic little things, driven to find their one ( or two... or three... ) true calling(s). a sb's destiny can be something as large as becoming the defender of a planet, to something as small as growing their own garden. each time a sb finds one of their destinies, a ring of stardust grows around their body. the most ancient sb's are entirely cloaked in stardust, each seeming as though they've grown their own universe.

a sb can range anywhere from four to seven feet tall, and can thrive anywhere from the cold depths of space, to the gentle breeze on earth. some sb's have colonized entire worlds - though many think of themselves as wanderers without a set 'home planet.' that doesn't mean that they aren't social creatures, of course - sb's love to team up with partners for their long journeys across the galaxy!

Ever since Miruku was very young he could never find any clothes that he particularity liked or that suited his style. He felt relatively held back and not able to express himself fully. Eventually Miruku gave up trying and ended up just wearing plain black clothes that didn't really show his bright and bubbly personality at all. This was until one day while Miruku was wandering around a thrift store he stumbled into the old clearance section that nobody would ever go down. Curious, he walked down the aisle and turned to see a machine he couldn't recognize. "Ah, I see you've found my old sewing machine" a sweet fragile voice spoke. Miruku turned around to see the owner of the thrift store "What's a sewing machine?" He said, looking upward to her with a sweet smile. "A sewing machine is something you can use to create clothing and a bunch of other things. If you can think of it, you can make it." she said enthusiastically. "Woahh, may I try the sewing machine please?" Miruku looked up to her, his eyes sparkling with excitement, longing to make something with the intriguing object. "Of course dear, would you like me to show you how it works?" She said while Miruku nodded happily. Of course he wasn't a natural at first although he got the hand of it pretty quickly and the nice old lady ended up buying him a sewing machine of his very own. Ever since then Miruku has been obsessed with sewing and even made his very own sweater which he wears everywhere and loves dearly. Miruku was always one to be clumsy and often drops his needles or trips over his sewing equipment (he isn't the most organised bab, you could say) resulting in him having to wear a bunch of band-aids, but he truly doesn't mind as he is doing what he loves and a few band-aids aren't going to stop him.

penny has spent a lot of time searching for his destiny. he's scoured galaxy after galaxy, looking for something that calls out to him. he's tried all kinds of things - learning to play the flute, exploring an abandoned asteroid belt, and becoming an expert in human video games. none of these attempts have worked - in fact, they usually end up getting him injured. the flute gave him paw cramps, the asteroid belt was so cold he caught a chill. and as for the video games - well, all those wires are a tripping hazard. after his many accidents, he usually finds himself seeking supplies to patch himself up.

setsuna is a bit of a rowdy gal, to say the least. she's got tons of energy and always has to be doing some sort of physical activity.

she'd always been fascinated by the various martial arts and dance styles that earth had to offer. they seemed like something that setsuna would love to do, so eventually she decided "hey, why not actually learn some?".

her favourites for each hobby are taekwondo and the whole spectrum of hip hop dance. she loves the power and energy one can put into them, and how easily they can help her in many ways. whether she's having a bad day and needs a distraction of some kind, or if she's just a little bit too hyped up for the day and needs a way to calm down. both allow her to have a safe outlet and let her express herself in one way or another.

setsuna is very competitive by nature and a little too enthusiastic for her own good. this means she often gives it her all during practice, which leads to her injuring herself a fair bit. she doesn't mind though, it's just more proof that she's working hard and enjoys what she's doing!

her hobbies have quickly become her most loved things in life and she strives to keep getting better at them. perhaps it's her destiny to master them? only time will tell.
