Buck is a lion tamer. Well, actually "lion tamer" isn't the most accurate way to describe what he does. As far as the audience is concerned he certainly is, but in actuality his lion is a cat named Pancakes that he happened to befriend in his youth. That doesn't mean the act isn't entertaining, though! They usually start off with having Pancakes lie down and open his mouth while Buck sticks his head inside. The audience goes nuts over this, completely oblivious to the fact that the menacing King of the Jungle is just a house pet that enjoys Fancy Feast. From there, their act usually goes on to be some combination of Pancakes jumping through hoops, standing on his back paws, and spinning around on command. They're always careful to not get too ahead of themselves as they don't want people to catch on to the deception of the act. There was on incident where the mane actually fell off while Pancakes was jumping through hoops, and that was certainly a mess that took a lot of time to clean up. At the end of the day, though, Buck and Pancakes do what they do to help spread happiness to the people that come to see them. If that can be done in a way that doesn't pose the threat of Buck's head becoming dinner, then why not do it?

Their Act: First, she throws a burning rose into the air. Right after that, she blows up a balloon quickly, attempting to make a balloon animal. If she succeeds, she’ll grab the rose quickly and blow it out, holding her balloon animal up in the air. If she doesn’t succeed, the rose lands on her head and she ends up running around the entire circus yelling something about fire and flowers.
