WHAT ARE FENNIX?
Fennix are extremely social creatures that live within forested areas in large groups known as tribes. They are a fennec fox - phoenix hybrid and have only recently been discovered by humans as a result of deforestation. Much like fennec foxes, Fennix have characteristically over-sized ears and small bodies, typically ranging in size from a house cat to a red fox. Fennix inherited feathery tails from the phoenix and commonly have feathers along their forearms which enables them to glide short distances. Due to the increasing threat to their forests, Fennix are in need of protection! In order to preserve the species we ask you to take part in their protection, adopt your own Fennix today and help keep their magic alive.

» Tails are made entirely of feathers
» Commonly have feathers on their bodies and limbs
» Feathers faintly glow in the dark and radiate heat
» Are known to erupt into flames when angry or startled
» Crepuscular (most active during dawn and dusk)

RARITIES
Mana flows through the body of every Fennix, with the highest concentration found surrounding their hearts and within their feathers. The amount of mana found in each individual's body determines the rarity of their traits. In rare cases a high level of mana can lead to the Fennix obtaining special abilities or mutations upon birth.

BREEDING
Fennix do not have live births, instead a ceremony is held for a couple of Fennix in which their mana is combined, resulting in offspring. Couples may be any sexual orientation and still have kits. Breeding is currently only allowed between two fennix and will result in 1-3(?) kits.

» Fennix are a closed species, you may not make your own
» You may currently own 10 Fennix [subject to change]
» Up to 2 Fennix may be obtained per week [subject to change]
» Fennix may be gifted/readopted with anima's approval but may never be sold
» Unwanted Fennix are to be returned to the artist that created them or anima
» Any removable accessories may be added to your Fennix's ref
» Reference lines and designs may not change from how they were received
» Fennix designs and characters may not be transferred to other species
» Fennix may be used role-played and used as a fursona as long as species characteristics remain intact
» CS rules apply

STAFF GUIDES
» You may post up to 5 Fennix per week [subject to change]
» No more than 3 open competitions permitted at one time, competitions closed for judging not counted
» All artist customs require approval
» 1 legendary and 2 ultra rare customs are given to staff per year
» Uncommon custom slots are given monthly to active staff to use or to gift, slots are not cummulative
» Selling of any Fennix or custom slots is currently prohibited until species is better established
» Staff must wait 2 weeks before creating their first custom
» Legendary customs can only be created after 3 months of being staff
