purple moon?

Postby the folly of man » Thu Feb 01, 2018 9:25 am

so I've heard it's gonna be a full, blood and blue moon all in one tonight
wouldn't that make purple?

but hey I'm hecking excited
but also worried that my pets are all gonna be weird like?? what??
let's just hope my anxiety doesn't swoop in and ruin it for everyone :')

edit: yes I'm an idiot I knew the moon wouldn't actually be like bright blue, please don't correct me anymore.

'cumulonimbus' or 'nimbostratus', depending on the structure!

A blue moon refers to the second full moon within a single month, it isn't actually blue. It is just uncommon/rare
Not lost, just don't want to be found

My pets and items are gone. Next step is to archive my art work and close this account forever. I am so excited

From Wikipedia:

Wikipedia wrote:The phrase has nothing to do with the actual color of the moon, although a literal "blue moon" (the moon appearing with a tinge of blue) may occur in certain atmospheric conditions: e.g., if volcanic eruptions or fires leave particles in the atmosphere of just the right size to preferentially scatter red light.

I'm not actually sure haha-- it might have actually been that it was a blue moon while it was setting this morning and I just didn't hear?
