Elton is a sweet guy but let's just say that he's not that good at interacting with others. He tends to be slightly scared of anyone taller than him, which is pretty much everyone, but particularly anyone with a slightly intimidating appearance for example piercings. Having said that, he tries really hard to be outgoing and to make new friends but usually messes up his introductions often leading him to just walk away in embarassment rather than attempt further conversation. On top of that, when he meets new people he has a slightly interrogative tone which, if he manages to get past the initial embarassment, generally gives people the idea that he's a bit odd.

Many have definitely be described as slightly scatter-brained, he has a really bad memory and is super forgetful meaning he loses stuff all the time. It's possible this is related to the amount of time he spends indoors and focused on his compositions, requiring him to be 'in the zone' - this isn't to say that he never leaves the house, otherwise where would he find his inspirations? On the other hand, Elton's finds his brain works really quickly making him good at problem solving and being decisive when it matters, but not so good at talking in general. What usually happens is that because his brain is working at a higher speed than his mouth, his speech is so fast his mouth can't usually keep up and he ends up with words in the wrong place, letters swapped around and sentences that don't make sense. This is something that he's struggled with from a very young age and no matter how hard he tries it doesn't go away.

The longer you know Elton, the less you notice the originally distracting speech patterns and the less he is intimidated by you. While he may have a sense of humour that's a bit of an acquired taste, Elton is a pretty normal guy who makes a fantastic friend. He finds the time to meet up and spend time together despite his work.

Elton was born on an an island long-forgotten by modern-day maps to Bleach and Mercel, one of four as the result of an incredibly romantic tale of hero saving some form of a damsel in distress. In her younger years, his mother was convinced by a powerful man to run away with him, promising her a resort of her own. Not long afterwards, she was cursed to remain on the island forever with anyone attempting to sail to the island turning up as a shipwreck on the shores. On the island she met Bleach, Elton's father, and together they fight to survive on the island.

It didn't take Elton many years to realise that this wasn't the kind of life he wanted for himself. His early years were spent reading the books left over in the ruins of the resort, but he couldn't help but feel unsatisfied at the lack of an education that so many of the kids had in his stories. That, and an unfulfilled curiosity, pushed him to approach his mother about his options in leaving the island to try and make a better life for himself. It would mean he would have to leave his family behind with all contact limited to the unpredictable washing up of messages in bottles, but he was near desperate. Mercel understood and Elton set about constructing a vaguely seaworthy raft that would allow him to drift to shore. Some of his family supported him and others chose to be unsupportive, namely Bleach and some of his siblings, but eventually their unhappiness with the idea faded away when they realised that this was what Elton truly wanted despite having to leave his family and never come back.

Nowadays, Elton casts off a bottle to the island at least once a week and has heard news back that Mercel and Bleach are working to restore a wifi connection to make skyping a possible option. He doesn't know if this will be possible but he's really glad that his family still supports them. Elton misses being able to see their faces every day, but the sacrifice he has made was worth being able to discover the joy that is music and develop the skills required in order to allow him to become a composer of music in film.
