A soft tune is carried by the wind, twirling around you before meeting your ears. It calls you forward towards an old signpost adorned with a sputtering lantern. Your eyes, so used to stumbling through the dark, take a moment to adjust, the faint light burning them. After what seems like hours, you finally see the owner of the song. She grins, taking a small step forward to greet you. Her face is pale, cheeks sunken as if stripped of skin. With further inspection, you realize it is a skull, hollowed and cut into a crude mask. Your mind screams with discomfort, asking to go back the way you came, but your legs seem to move on their one.
Pushing a lock of brown hair behind her ear, this strange woman lets her stare hit you, unblinking orange eyes gazing at every inch of you. A shiver goes up your spine as you walk closer, only stopping when you are in paws reach of her. This woman cocks her head, and opens her mouth, barely visible below the mask.
"Need a little direction, my dear?"
