In 1972, 3 men came together. They wanted a breed that was stunning, had great stamina, and could do almost anything. They bred a purebred Arabian with a Quarter Horse, then bred that foal with a Mustang. They added to the lineage, until they had exactly what they wanted. They bred many more of the breed, and named them Mississippi Trotters, for they had started the breed in Mississippi.

Mississippi Trotters are known for their sweet temperament, and determination. They are great with children,
and first timers. They are easy to work with, can learn and discipline, and are often seen in all types of shows.
