In memory of the best (silkie) chicken ever! <3 Chewy was one of my very first chickens. I got her April 2015, and she was more like a dog than a chicken. She loved attention. She loved to go on trips with me. She attended vacation bible school, she dressed up in a butterfly costume for Halloween last year, she let me give her 'spa days' (ie baths). She was calm around bunnies, chickens, cats, dogs, hamsters,... You name it. Chewy got along with anything and everything. She put up with a lot from me (including chicken diapers so she could come inside ). I was going to show her for my very first time in a few months, but she didn't make it that far. She passed July 25th. She will always be my favorite chicken; she holds a very special place in my heart. I love you, Chewy ~~ My glamour girl. Rest in peace.

Reference picture is below. I took it last year when she was laying on eggs (in the wrong place, might I add). She was a mess, but a true stunner. Also, the time is off, and I have no idea by how much. 1-3 hours, I'd say. I did a lot of staring, eating, etc., and, for some reason, I never remember to close the tab. I was working on it all day though



This is my fifth Oekaki!! It's obvious that I spent more time on this one than the others.

Thank you... <3 I've finally started coming to terms with it; though, I'm still not quite sure it's registered completely. I went looking for her today when I didn't see her with the other girls. It took me a minute to remember. She really was the best chicken though... Now she's got tons of treats in chicken heaven, haha!

You think so?? Thank you sooo much! It's only my fifth one, so I'm still a little uncertain about the controls and everything (plus, I've never drawn on a touchscreen before LOL). I figured it would fit in here. Maybe mods can move it (?) if they think it belongs in a different level. Really though ~~ thank you!

I am very sorry for your loss, I have chickens too. I cry every time one of my chickens dies. One of my chickens from my first batch is still alive and is now 5-6 years old (Her name is Fluffy, she is also the only one left). I remember when my favorite baby chick died because another big bird killed it. Rest in piece Chewy, and I hope you are strong, and have a great day! <3
