Alright, so, I've wanted to make a species for a while and i came up with this concept.. tell me what ya think:
This species are a very small, maned canine like creatures. They live deep within the forest, and use their thick manes as camouflage. The mane's are like the bushes and grasses in the land, which helps them hide. However. this species can be very gulible and quick to love, which is why they make great companions. There are some genetic defects within them, which is rare (Short fur,
no mane, brighter colors ect.) But, even the defective ones would love to be adopted and have a heart of gold.
Appearance:
This species has rather short legs, which makes them slow runners. A common tail is short and stubby, but some rarer have longer tails. They have a bushy mane, which is much more thicker and pale in the Winter. They have pointed ears, small snout, and typical canine teeth.
That's all I got so far, trying to think of a name now. If y'all like them, i'll turn them into a species. :D
