Unlike most species, Alkali's don't breed in the normal sense. Instead it is referred to as 'brewing', hence this being called the Brewery. What happens is that 2 Alkali can come to the brewery and request to have a blend brewed for them. The residence brewer, Shiva, will then take 2 samples that are similar to the parents and will brew them together to create an 'offspring'. Any brewed Alkali will resemble both parents via traits, design, and filling. Not all traits are guaranteed to past down due to this breeding method, but this also means that you have a chance of a trait that neither parent has to be on the new Alkali.

There are a few things that you should know before you request a brewing.
Rules:
- You must have owned your Alkali for 2 weeks before you can breed it
- Your Alkali must wait 2 weeks after a brewing before it can breed again
- Growths can happen 2 weeks after they are brewed
- Brewings will be rolled for by the artist (amount of offspring, traits, non-parent traits, etc)
- Most brews only produce 1-2 Alkali
- 3 Alkali can be brewed without an item but it is a 1 in 150 chance
- You can brew with more than 2 parents IF you have the proper item
- Due to the nature of breedings, your Alkali do not have to be mates in order to breed (they just need to not be on a cooldown)
- Each Alkali can participate in 10 brewings (unless a brew specifically states that it does not count towards this limit)

Alkali's are very small creatures that can fit in a full grown humans hands.
They live in glasses, bottles, jars, cans, or cups and rarely are found elsewhere.
They are generally gentle and loyal creatures that enjoy curling up on a kitchen
counter or near their human companions. Their abdomen is made of a thick, durable
glass and is hollow on the inside. Their abdomen (otherwise called a tankard) is normally
filled with a liquid of sorts which often influences the aroma they put off.
