Why are they so sad?(Word limit 500)
Why is Blu so sad? Well, if you knew him as a child, you might wonder how someone could go from happy, cheerful and positive to sad, depressed and pessimistic. From a young age he had always felt attracted to other boys, and never girls. He was in the closet during most of middle and high school, though he was very gay, though how he dressed, how he acted, and who he hung out with. he was often teased and bullied for this, which made his high school life miserable. Surprising enough, this was not what made Blu depressed.
When Blu graduated high school, he took a year break before going to university, during which he did some travelling, as well as a lot of reading, and just relaxing. It was nice to be away from the taunts and teasing of high school. When he did begin university (studying to become a journalist, might I add), he was often teased and bullied, not by his fellow peers, but by his teachers. When he came out as gay during first semester to his parents, they were NOT happy. They basically refused to pay for his tuition and promised to never let him back home ever again. With nobody to pay for his tuition, and it being too late in the semester to apply for a scholarship, he had to drop out. He was devastated, and fell into a major flunk.
Now, a year later, Blu is doing much better. He still has bad days, but he also has good days. His friends always keep him happy and he has pushed his parents out of his head. While he is still dealing with depression, Blu has changed so much, and is now doing online classes to finish his schooling!
