Species Information & Base Traits
- Bloods are a canid creature from the outer reaches of space that evolve when shown love, affection, or devotion from their pack mates.
Traits vary, but the harder to reach traits benefit Bloods in various ways. Bloods use the shiny patches of skin under their eyes as a way to attract mates and express themselves, as the patches can change color at will though they usually always keep unique colors for their neutral base emotion. Due to such variation in their species it can be hard for Bloods to judge each other's intent just on color alone unless they have a strong Bond with each other.
Bloods always have four paw/clawless toes with furry bottoms (like rabbits) and have small, catlike noses. They have fleshy appendages that hang from their cheeks and will raise when threatened as an act of aggression. Their shiny patches of skin are always visible and will never be overgrown with their smooth, water-tight coat.
Their eyes are almond in shape and usually pupil-less.
- - You are NEVER allowed to edit your Blood to have hair or any edit they did not previously have, even with artist permission. Edits to your Blood's physical appearance that are accepted are for items and approved unlocked traits as any physical edit put on your Blood must be awarded when you show them "affection" or are active with them.
- You cannot make your own unless given permission.
- Do not breed your own Bloods unless given permission.
- You may order art of your Blood to raise their affection/bonds however artwork or writing made by YOU (the owner) will raise their affection more.
- Do not edit your Blood's design/colors without permission from the artist of said Blood.
- Do not ask to be artist if positions are not open or we are not seeking hires.
- YOU MAY ONLY OWN FOUR BLOODS AT A TIME. Once a Blood's affection is raised to a certain level however you will be granted permission to own another Blood.
- Each Blood will start out with 30 stat points before you try out or own them, of which can be applied to the skills listed bellow;
- Charisma - This skill determines how friendly your Blood is to other Bloods and to you. Owning a Blood who has high charisma increases the odds of getting extra affection when drawing/writing about them during events & such. This also helps them during battles as a high level of charisma can fake a foe into thinking they're stronger than they truly are (aka; they're extremely good at bluffing)
Agility - Agility helps a Blood during combat mostly in avoiding blows. Agility can also increase the odds of critical strikes during combat on a Blood whos agility is lower than their own.
Strength - This skill determines how hard your Blood will attack another Blood.
Armor Class - Otherwise refers to as AC, armor class directly refers to how much strength that Blood can block.
Breath - Breath is Blood's "health points". Once a Blood's Breath has been depleted in battle they will loose the fight. It will take a full 24 hours before a Blood's Breath replenishes after it reaches 0 or bellow. Every Blood will start with 20 Breath skill points.
The owners of both Bloods must give consent and their Blood cannot be on Breath cooldown to enter a Blood Battle.
- Once a Blood earns enough affection from their handler they can be given specific traits that can help raise their skills (charisma, agility, strength, armor class, and breath)
Such traits can be purchased here - these will give your Blood physical traits you cannot get anywhere else! Affection also cannot be traded to other uses and is SPECIFIC to the Blood that was given/gave affection. If two or more Bloods are in a picture together then they will be given half of the total affection applied to them.
If you draw/write about another person's blood you and the person who's using the artwork will earn affection however the affection that YOU get will be applied to the Blood you see fit or to the ones present in the story/artwork.
