literally my only other means of using pen pressure is now gone.
im ready for death.
this is so frustrating. :)
does anyone know how to fix this?
i was tired of getting ads from firealpaca telling me to get the new version, so i finally did. but afterwards i lost my pen pressure. the same thing has happened with my sister, after hers updated... i guess by itself? i dont know.
i use an intuos pro small wacom tablet, and installed i'm guessing version 1.7.2 of firealpaca.
does anyone know which version it is that still has pen pressure, and how to install it instead of this version, so i have pen pressure in at least one drawing program? both my sister and I would greatly appreciate any assistance.

ah I'm sorry ;w; I'd be lying if I said I didn't snort a little when I saw this drawing though
Google tutorials on how to adjust pen pressure for the program? It might have just restarted the settings with the new installation.
Otherwise, when I lost pen pressure in chibi paint, I just googled an old dictionary of java downloads (or java script, I can't remember @ this point), removed the new installation of the program, and re-downloaded the old version. (I don't use FireAlpaca sooo I'm not positive if they provide old downloads) though as a precaution, it's generally more risky to try and install old downloads as they're more prone to viruses. (at least some sites warn!)
good luck friend!

Oh good! The drawing is supposed to have been something silly for me to keep my head. All this nonsense over pen pressure has really gotten me worked up, and to lose it on my last program is devastating. So i need a laugh.
The java issue is because of Firefox dropping it. I believe all browsers (with maybe the exception of internet explorer? But like I'd have the patience for something that takes an hour to open...) have dropped java due to it being too risky and prone to viruses.
So chibipaint, which I only use with pen pressure (J-tablet) will not work unless I use an old version of firefox, which I've heard is what people are using right now. But this version of firefox will only be around until may [2018]. If j can't get anything working, ill be forced to use that until I can get a hold of another program with pen pressure.
All this caused me to turn to my drawing program which /had/ pen pressure until I updated it. I installed an older version of it (extremely outdated... ugh) and it still doesn't have pen pressure. I can't figure out much in the settings, other than clicking a button that enables/disables opacity or size by pressure (pen pressure), thanks to the program being... Er... in a different language.
So I decided to uninstall tablet drivers, to see if that was the issue. (It had said tablet driver was not found, and what I did the last time it did this didn't work. So I decided uninstalling the drivers would be my best bet.) But upon restarting the computer, soMETHING happened and it's stuck in some mode and we're still trying to figure out how to get it out of it.
Now having pen pressure is no longer my first priority. D; getting the computer to work is.
thanks for the wishes <3 hoping for the best. ;v;'

ah flubnutters. D: yeah I've heard about firefox will stop supporting java--I didn't realize that old download installations would stop being supported as of may though! (If I'm reading correctly, oh no!)
ah geez I'm so sorry to hear all that ;w; if you get to a point where you can manage your computer, maybe you could tried reinstalling the tablet software? For some reason it gives me that message all the time, all I have to do is pop in my bamboo disk and go through the installation again, restart the browser/computer, and it'll start up like normal again.
funny coincidence posting on this thread, as I'm trying to open oekaki and I'm seeming to have security issues with java, and my software doesn't want to reinstall. XD
but yeah if you'd like to continue discussion/have any updates feel free to private message me!

Slight update;
Computer fried itself. My dad's working on it now.
Moral of the story: if you're not a tech whiz, don't try to tackle what you'd think would be a simple problem alone. Seriously. Haha
But thank you all for the suggestions (and comments on the drawing, of course). All are appreciated!
