Elijah rules his own world. In this world, he is the king, and everyone else plays the role of a simple peasant. That is, Elijah is egotistical. He draws people away by obsessing over himself, but he's too proud to see himself as lonely. Besides, he's got his birds. Birds are the one thing that roots Elijah down to earth, the only things in the world he sees as worthwhile. He adores them, his fascination for them longstanding. Birds represent him; beautiful, misunderstood, self-important, and free. Elijah thinks that everything is about himself, unable to see his flaws, let alone recognize them. It takes a lot to get Elijah to soften up and show any amount of selflessness, but it's not impossible. He just prefers not to show it.
- I remember that day. The day I knew who I was, how I was better then those around me who didn't understand. It was a long time ago but I can still remember it like an old photograph, not those photographs that you hold onto for sentimental reasons but one that you hold onto because of it's great value to you. You want to know the most defining, amazing, moment in my life, the moment I knew just how perfect I was? Simple. The day I was born. -
Relationship with birds;;
Some people have an angel on one shoulder and a demon on the other. I have birds. Lets be honest here, I've always had a thing with birds but the ones that make their home inside my rare, very expensive, accessories (that you are clearly too poor to afford) well they are on a whole different level. I wouldn't say one or the other pulls me one way for another. It's more sort of like a council, myself being head chairman, that discuss what is best for myself. After all, anyone who's anything knows no one does anything for others.
