Welcome to Spring! wrote:Spring is a joyous time in the world. It represents new beginnings and life as flowers bloom once more and young animals are introduced into the world. However, spring is also the beginning of the "busy season" for animal shelters around the world. Spring coincides with a general increase in intakes, leaving many shelters overwhelmed and packed with homeless animals. The BWSDA Spring Event will serve to bring awareness to this issue, as well as offer players the chance to adopt their own digital shelter pups.
As spring comes around, the BWSDA has noticed a large increase in intakes for local shelters. Although it is even more disturbing that many of these dogs are actually purebred Baltic Huskies and Baltic Husky mixes! The association has decided to step up and take all of these dogs from the shelters and adopt them out to the trusted members of the BWSDA community.
All of the shelter dogs will be spayed or neutered, not only to avoid passing on their impure bloodlines, but also to encourage adoption instead of breeding. They will still receive stats and can be entered into training events and races.
In order to adopt a shelter BH/BH mix, you must fill out the following application and post it on an available dog's thread. The artist will then determine which owner is best suited to the dog based on the dog's brief background and personality.
