A Lonely Night

A midnight walk. A starless sky. Darkness as far as the eye can see; not even the moon's soft glow lights the silent world below. A flash of light, a tail like a kite, the star comes falling down. The star's light fades, away from the glades. The world is dark again. The gentle glow meets the land below. The stars shine there, they watch carefully, as I stand alone in this darkness. Alone I may walk, but deep down I know, as their gentle light shines down... The stars will forever be my company, upon this lonely night.
