We had a rat who chewed the tip of its tail off once. She had survived surgery 2 times, she had a Tuma in the same spot twice and the vet said she was stressed. She had to be put down D: I will miss all our rats, they make such good pets. I have always wanted a pet hamster but they are illegal her in Australia....Not sure why?

I know right! I want a hamster too but it is illegal in Australia! Not even my teacher knows why...

I think it has something to do with how they multiply so fast. However they let Rabbits and Guinea Pigs here so I don't see what the big deal about a hamster is

they multiply just as fast as any other rodent,but then again they can have up to 20 babies o.o

I had a hamster named Spike, who I lost in my bathtub (he fell down the drain) but 3 weeks later we found him. In the basement. Still very much alive.

I also had a guinea pig named Cinnamon, who was bitten by a squirrel and died.

I sorta gave up on the small animals when I was little, now I stick to horses and dogs

It was probably because that if you have 2 male or 2 female hamsters together in a cage they will try to kill each other usally- Even there own babies, once their babies get to a sertian age. One of my friends had a hamster that had babies and the mom killed one of the daughters and then later 2 of the babies killed each other in a fight. You just have to make sure they are seprated or sold soon enoguh, but not to soon that they skill need their mother.

But i am very very sorry. DX I know how you feel, when my litter hamster died...

Ya,i separated my last two hammies so they wouldnt do that,but they act like they miss each other...
