{{ What is a fervil? }}
Fervils are creatures the size of a medium-sized dog, usually being about 1 or 1.5 feet tall, and weighing about 30-40 pounds. They are colorful mammals that usually live in tropical areas, although they occasionally migrate to other habitats and adapt quite well. They are prone to mutation, especially in their pelt colors and patterning. The only thing that is universal among the species are their "rings"—every fervil has a ring of color somewhere on its pelt, whether it be a circle around their eyes or a ring around their muzzles.

{{ General }}

♦ Please respect and be friendly to other members of the fervil community and CS! This includes being passive-aggressive, begging, guilt-tripping, and anything else along those lines.
♦ Art and idea theft are not tolerated in this community. You can make a character based off of a game or show, but please don't copy that character entirely. Also, if you are caught stealing art or writing, especially for a competition, you will be given a mark against your account.
♦ Fervils are not limited oc-wise! Do what you like with them. You may give them magic, make them the creator of the universe, make them any sexuality/gender you like. Anything NSFW, gore or otherwise, MUST be offsite and must be tagged and warned appropriately.
♦ Fervils must have a biological sex (which can be different from their gender) for breeding purposes.
♦ You may own up to 5 fervils at the moment, not including customs. You may have 3 customs that do NOT count against your 5 total. If you are caught trying to multi-account for more fervils, you will receive an instant strike on your account and you will be forced to choose one account: the account not chosen will lose all fervils to its name and the fervils will be put up for readoption, and in the case of customs, voided.
♦ You may not create your own fervil without a MYO unless you are an artist, trial or guest artist. Guest artists will be able to make 3 fervils per GA period.
♦ Please notify me (lex) or brave vesperia if you plan on making a public thread relating to fervils.
♦ Fervils can be traded/sold/gifted. However, in the event of a trade/sell/gift, lex, brave vesperia or an archivist MUST be contacted before it will be considered official. Failure to contact one of those people can result in punishment, because it can get very disorganized.
♦ Rulings can and will change as the community grows and changes.
♦ If you have any questions, do NOT be afraid to ask the staff! That's what we're here for.

♦ Please don't use blinding or heavily clashing colors without moderation.
♦ Fervils MUST have 'rings' in their fur.
♦ A fervil with uncommon traits can be made once per 5 fervils you make; a rare or seasonal trait once per every 15 you make.
♦ Artists can make a staff custom for every 25 Regular Adopts or 15 Litters they design.
♦ You may only have 3 staff customs. Staff customs don't count against your custom or adoption limits.
♦ Staff may have up to 10 fervils.

{{ Punishments }}

There are varying degrees of punishment your account can get if you break (and continually break) the rules of fervil adopts. These are listed below.
Warning: No action is taken, but you are rebuked for whatever you did. Minor infractions will lead to a warning, and warnings are not publicly kept up with.
Mark: You will not be able to adopt, buy or create (artists, GAs or customs) fervils for the next 30 days. You are allowed to take part in fervil-related threads, however. Semi-minor infractions and repeated infractions will lead to a mark, and marks are not publicly kept up with.
Strike: You will not be able to adopt, buy or create (artists, GAs or customs) fervils or participate in fervil-related threads for the next 30 to 60 days. Semi-major infractions and repeated infractions will lead to a strike, and strikes are publicly kept up with.
Ban: You will not be able to adopt, buy or create (artists, GAs or customs) fervils or participate in fervil-related threads and your own fervils will be readopted and customs will be deleted. Bans can last from a short period of time to an indefinite period. Major infractions and many repeated infractions will lead to a ban, and bans are publicly kept up with.
