That scarf was a gift from his mother which previously passed away so he wears it all the time to commemorate his mother and how much she was to him. Plus its his favorite color red and its also his birthstone color, ruby red.
The scarf also reminds him of the christmas time which he loves ever so much. Sparky also puts perfume on the scarf he has that his mother uses so he always smells like vanilla and cherry blossoms. Plus the fabric is as soft as silk and he enjoys it around his neck as it keeps him warm.
