The Blind Outcast

'Nobody will want to dance with me here!' She thought, stumbling through the crowd. All the noise was disorienting and she could barely navigate through the crowd.
"Hey! Watch it!" A male voice shouted in her direction.
"Sorry!" She quickly shouted in return, stepping on a small cat's tail.
"YOW!" The cat shrieked. It hissed at her and the female dog whimpered.
By the time she had escaped the crowd and taken shelter in an abandoned corner, she felt as though the entire room was glaring at her. Of course, she couldn't see them at all. She just assumed.

Nobody danced with her that night. Secretly, many dogs wanted to but couldn't- She was a blind dog. They knew that if they were to dance with a dog who couldn't, their reputation would be at stake. A blind dog would not make a good dancing partner, they thought. The beautiful dog stayed in the corner all night, wondering why nobody wanted to dance with her.
