He really didn't want to go, not terribly. His date shared his sentiments. A pair of nerds, they were, beaks always in some book, scroll, or ancient text. But it was a requirement - anyone of an Uncommon status or higher risked losing their social standing. They wouldn't have cared if he lost such a status as that: he could be OMGSC and no eye would be batted. But he lost priveledges if he dropped too far - priveledges to the Great Library. And so they went, all dressed up, with a simple plan. Read. Nobody will notice the two of them weren't dancing if they stayed well out of the way, and they could study as much as they liked. Such was why she loved him, and he loved her. The teasing comment was passed between them once in a while.
