thanks, but i know that part, its just that when it takes you the where you can color do you have to alpha lock before you color?

in the little "layers" box, click the "color here" layer, then check the "lock alpha" box. just be sure to uncheck the "lock alpha" when you do the background. :) you don't HAVE to do the lock alpha thing, it just helps you to stay inside the lines. good luck!
