This male Mastiff was one of the guard dogs of a complex of warehouses. He was good at his job, albeit rather stubborn. However, about a year ago he was hit by a careless driver. Fortunately, his major organs escaped serious injury, but his right hind leg wasn't so well off. He permanently lost the ability to move his right hind paw. He managed to get back to work, but, although he was trying as hard as ever, it was obvious that the unresponsive limb was hurting him. The male dog was surrendered to a shelter after he had part of his leg amputated, as it was believed that he wouldn't be able to work as a guard dog again. Thanks to series of donations, the dog was given a prosthetic leg. After a little help with getting to the device, he is certainly is behaving like his old self. It is hoped that he will be able to fulfil his old role once more.
