Welcome to the constellation forest, where Velicans roam free. We really hope you find a Velican you love here! If there are no Veli's available that you love, we are sure one will come along soon. Please read our rules first though! Following the rules will keep your Velicans happy with you. You don't want to upset a Velican, as they can get quite snappy or run away!

★ Velicans are a closed species! You may not make your own!
★ No stealing any Velicans that do not belong to you!
★ Please be polite to everyone! If you constantly disregard the rules or disrespect others, I may have to ban you.
★ If you are banned, your Velicans will be revoked and put up for re-adoption.
★ You may own 7 Velicans.
★ Customs are only available to staff members or those who win a comet from a event.
★ If you would like to gift your Veli or put it up for readoption, Pm a staff member.
★ Selling or trading Velicans is strictly not permitted.
★ Please don't beg to be on the staff!

Every time a person wishes on a shooting star, far away, a comet comes crashing down into a clearing known as the stardust grove, which is in the constellation forest. After a period of care by the artists, these comets crack and the stardust from the comets sink into the ground. The stardust will then form a Velican! It has been learned that these creatures are mysteriously content around humans, especially (but not only!) humans who are content with themselves. However, scientists who study Veli's have discovered that some Velicans will cling to humans that they want to help feel happier and more loved, just like humans will rush to show them love, too!




Veli's have a arctic-fox-like body and a snow-leopard-shaped head with a long, winding, fluffy tail. The ribbons around their tails serve for little more than gender identification (females have bows but males do not), but every Veli is extremely protective over it. They have long thin legs for running long distances, because they love to chase shooting stars. Most of their tails shimmer for seeing in the dark, but many have good night vision and non-sparkly tails. Their antlers are for battle but are never used. The fairy lights strung around their antlers are called star strings, and are essentially what makes them so positive and likable. Without a star string, a Veli can become mopey and angry which can sometimes, though rarely, lead to them to becoming evil. All Velicans have a completely unique constellation on their shoulder blade, like star snowflakes.

Remember, staff, you are all the role models of Velicans, so remember to be on your best behaviors! This is a kind, caring, open, and respecting place, so we expect you to not bring hate to this community but instead be helpful people. It can difficult to be accepting and forgiving, especially with your strenuous jobs as staff members. However, we want to set a good example for the community, so it is very important that you do your jobs correctly, with kindness and patience. If you are abusing your power as a staff member, it will be taken away from you.

I unfortunately do not have any experience yet with being a moderator on a pet adoptable thread, but I'm constantly applying. :,>
I was a moderator on this thread though. I am not anymore because all moderators have been relieved.
Why do you think you should be a mod?
For one, I'm active like, 24/7. Even if it's just to check, I'm usually on 20-30 times a day. :,) I'll double check and read everything on the thread.
I'm very dedicated to my job. Legit when I was a moderator in the Give A Character To The Person Above You thread, I read through everything to make sure everyone was following the rules.
I'm not hesitant or afraid to lay down the law. >:3 If something needs to be dealt with, I'll deal with it ASAP.
How do you respond to spam?
Spam is a no no. If someone is spamming, I'll PM them about it first, telling them not to do it again. If the problem continues, it's a ban. (Eek! I hope I didn't sound too harsh.)
How do you respond to rants?
Depends on what the rant is about. If the rant has something to do with the adoptable, I'd most likely respond to the rant in some way but be sure to tell the person ranting that if they have a problem they should contact staff through PM instead of posting it on the thread.
If I was contacted with a rant via PM I'd respond and be sure to notify the owner and co-owner about it.
If the rant wasn't related, I wouldn't respond and simply tell the person that this thread isn't the place for that. If the ranting continues, it's a ban.
