She is the princess of a small {very, very small} kingdom, which is only because her father, the king, is said to be the son of a god in their culture. Being a 'god', her father thinks he has no responsibility and leaves Stella to take care of of the kingdom alone. She is very stressed most of the time, and worries about other nations seeing her home as weak and trying to attack. She has never had an eye for war, but surprisingly her father takes care of most of the violent things -- including the punishments for breaking laws. She often sneaks oit of the palace and tours her cities, though she is caught quickly by the Royal guard and taken back to the castle.
