Tobias is a very sweet natured being. He adores life, but seems to have come to accept that all life must come to an end. He does not feel sorry or sad for this, instead he seems to accept, and even embrace this fact. Each and every moment must be cherished, time must not be taken for granted. One never knows when their life may end, so he feels that everyone needs to make the most of their time. He rarely hesitates, feeling the need to act and react accordingly without overthinking things. He also does not allow chances to slip by him, even should he be faced with self doubt or nervousness. He seems to accept the reactions and consequences to his own choices in life, at the very least feeling pleased that he never allowed the chance to pass him by and leave him not knowing. He is, at his core, a good creature, though he personally feels he is neutral to most situations. He is friendly and compassionate, willing to give up the last of his food or drink should someone be in need. He is not a true pacifist, though he would much prefer not to fight. He is not a coward, though others seem to attempt to claim he is. Tobias simply attempts to divert the situation, attention, or even change the subject entirely. He is not beyond allowing others call him names or tease him as long as violence does not occur. Spoken words are able to roll off him like water off a duck. However, should anyone threaten his friends or his brother they would see a massively different side to him. He has potential to be extremely cold and cruel, showing no mercy to those who have done his loved ones harm. This is a side of himself that he dislikes and aims to avoid at all costs.

Tobias spent a great deal of his life living in his brother, Noah's, Shadow. Always attempting to follow in his footsteps and copy Noah. He loved the person Noah was, he saw how much everyone loved Noah and he wanted to be like Noah. But he simply wasn't, no matter how hard he tried to be. He didn't resent Noah for that, of course, Tobias instead felt the need to 'discover himself'. A fit of depression had taken him and he simply could not remove the could that hung over him. Having lived in his brothers shadow for so very long he didn't really even know himself. What kind of things did he even like? Truly like? He had always just gone with whatever Noah had liked that he never really gave himself time to grow. So, he left Noah's sanctuary in attempt to discover himself and grow into someone he could be proud of. As he ventured through the world, though, time slowly began to take hold of him and he began to age. The little viscling that Noah remembered was now an adult. Noah did not age, as his sanctuary kept him young, but Tobias was not within the protection of Noah's home. Upon returning to Noah's home Tobias greeted his brother a very different viscet than the one whom had left. He had found himself, but so had time. The younger brother was now physically older than Noah and the morality of Tobias seemed to weigh heavily upon Noah's heart. Somehow, seeing the distress of their guardian, the spirits within Noah's sanctuary attempted to return Noah to his happy state by granting Tobias the same extended life as Noah had. Due to this, Tobias now has ceased to age and has, like Noah, lived for quite a long time. This does not mean that he can not die, however, just that his body does not physically age and time can not kill him. He can easily die by other means, of course.

Though this is not a task that Tobias preforms to receive any sort of currency or payment. This is mostly a job that he has chosen for himself in his life. Tobias is a wanderer, though early on as he wandered he found he had a deep connection to spiritual life. Namely the undead. Whisps were often seen by Tobias, as was mutterings heard, though it was only after he left his brother in search of himself that he chose to listen and follow these things. What Tobias found was that he was able to see and communicate with the departed. Spirits which were trapped upon the earth and unable to pass on. After much consideration Tobias decided to attempt to assist these spirits that he found and more often than not he succeeded. There are times when he simply can not help, though, and in these times he attempts to find someone who can. Tobias carries with him a large pouch filled with seeds, baby's tears and queens tears, the seeds often being spread over unmarked graves. This sometimes causes spirits to become more at ease and communicate with him. Other times it simply allows himself peace of mind. Typical tasks given to him by spirits require him to deliver messages to family members or to retrieve something from their body/bones to deliver it to their family. Such subjects as vengeance or rage are typically declined. As much as Tobias longs to assist the spirits he holds no desire to harm another for the sake of vengeance. He will always attempt to sooth a vengeful spirit in other ways.

Tobias is an extremely spiritual creature and he leaves his current path and direction of travel up to the fates and spirits that be. The two main methods of travel for Tobias are....
The first being a wooden coin, a simple arrow on both sides of the coin. When flipped he will follow whatever direction the coin points believing that the fates have pointed him in his direction for the day.
If he ever comes to a river Tobias will use this as meditation and direction. He will wade into the water and go into a deep trance. allowing the river carry him wherever it needs.

Tobias finds himself waking in a forest he had never been before, face to face with a viscet of whom he had never met. Through his connection with the undead Tobias finds that there is a deep secret within this forest, and a deeper secret held within the viscet, Kunal, of which he was attempting to befriend. Struggling to find his direction and what it is he was guided to the forest to do Tobias finds that his life may very well be in danger. As much as he has come to care for Kunal, he struggles with the constant visions that plague him, keeping him from sleep and mentally taking their toll on him. The forest, and Kunals brother, threaten Tobias' life...but he simply will not give up on Kunal. How shall he save Kunal, though, if Tobias were to loose his life?

The gentle warble of birdsong, mixed with the trickle of water, a hint of the river swollen with cold water from the mountains. Spring was on its way, winter drawing its last breath before it step aside, allowing the warmer weather to melt the snow and send it down to mix with the waters of the rivers, and soon after, the ocean. Tobias, an earthy colored viscet who had spent the whole winter waiting for this day, could be seen drifting along, his body floating like a fallen log. Winter typically froze the water or made it far too cold to travel in, which left him unable to enjoy this method of travel. Now within the water of the river, it mattered not the bend, turn, or dip, his body seemed to move just as fluidly as the river itself. He had come many miles thus far, having lowered his body into the river to meditate and allow the spirits to guide him as they saw fit. Tobias was a deeply spiritual creature and used such moments to reflect and help keep his mind healthy and feet on the right path. Most who caught sight of the creature within the water would have believed it drowned or was asleep. Despite the prospect of him being easy prey in this state he had never once been attacked.

The river seemed to guide him, as rivers tended to do. He had come from high in the mountains, the flow taking him from them and down through a field. Now, though, the field had vanished behind a scatter of trees, trees that soon became a forest. Through the forest his body float, the shadows from the branches above cast upon his pelt and a little dragonfly coming to perch on his paw. The perfect place to rest, it seemed. The very moment Tobias had entered this forest he had felt the change, his heightened awareness taking note of the change in his surroundings. This was not to say the change from field to forest, however. This change was unseen. It was like being in fresh air then suddenly walking into a burning building where smoke filled the air and burned your lungs. His body twitched, though his eyes remained shut. Visually there was little that set this forest apart from any other, there truly was no difference here. Some distance into the forest it seemed his time of meditation had come to an end. Though the river had gently curled off to the northwest his body did not seem to follow this path as it had a million times before, Instead, this time, his body had gently drifted forward, untouched by the ebb and flow of the river itself. Almost as if some unseen hands had guided his body in this direction with the sole intent of depositing him by the bank.

Again he sensed a change, this time it was the added presence of another. As his head bump softly into the bank of the river he slowly open his eyes, finding that he was muzzle to muzzle with another viscet. Black and orange eyes peer down at him with a mixture of confusion and curiosity, Tobias' own eyes peering directly into them. There was an unnatural chill that ran along Tobias' body, then, though it was not fear that had caused this but something else. Seconds seemed to stretch into eternity as the two peer at one another, Tobias watched the features and expressions of the other seem to twist from one emotion to the other. One moment the figure seemed shocked, then afraid, then excited, then angry. A multitude of emotions seemed to be rolling through this being, and in a flurry that they seemed almost incapable of dealing with all at once. The figure step back, now allowing Tobias to see more than just those intense eyes. The figure was mostly black, green, and white, though Tobias would most likely never forget those eyes....

The figure shook its head, as if attempting to clear it from the flurry of emotion that had suddenly assaulted it. Tilting his head up, Tobias watch the figure closely, observing a moment before asking. " Are you alright?" His own voice was gentle, though it cracked slightly from disuse. Clearing his throat to avoid any further crackling, Tobias finally roll over, picking himself up from the water and shaking the water from his fur, being mindful of the other so as not to splatter them. After his shake, however, he open his eyes to find the figure with head bowed before him. Confusion suddenly took Tobias as the other spoke. "Forgive me..." The other was male, with a rich, deep voice. One that sent yet another shudder through Tobias. Shaking himself once more to clear away and further odd shakes and shudders, Tobias offer a smile to the other. "Alright, you're forgiven."

Though he knew not what he was forgiving, Tobias could tell from the features of the other that he still struggle with his inner turmoil. He only sought to put the other at ease, and this was exactly what he had done. Relief seemed to flood the handsome features of the other, which in turn relaxed Tobias and made him much happier. "Where did you come from...?" Questioned the black and green viscet. "The mountains" Replied Tobias. Such a simple exchange, yet somehow this seemed to be all that the other needed. "I'm Tobias...and you are?" Tobias finally question, watching the figure relax and seat himself on the earth, his back against a tree. "Kunal..." came the reply.

Though names had been exchanged and there was one less mystery within Tobias' world, he still felt that choking sensation about him and now that he was out of the water, which muffled such things, he could hear the whispers of the dead. Whispers that seemed panicked, horrified and in agony. He had rarely, in his life, come across such places as this, most others having been war zones or areas where a pandemic or other tragedy had occurred. Though even then there was never as much raw fear as he felt in this place. He felt compelled to run, to flee the forest and never look back. It made him feel as if the spirits were being tormented even in the afterlife. All curious things, bothersome things, things that worried Tobias, though as his eyes wander the forest, they slowly return to Kunal. "Where am I?" He question, his voice a little softer now so as to not hint towards the growing anxieties within him. "You are within the forest of Willows, though they have all long since been destroyed..." Kunal said. Tobias took note of how uncomfortable Kunal seemed. Kunals head was low, though Tobias could tell he was still being watched.

"Was there ever a war here? Or something else extremely violent? Perhaps a village that was raided, or..." Tobias cut his words short as he caught Kunal's glance. Kunal had come to attention, watching Tobias very closely now. " Yes...This place had once been a haven for spirits. Long before the humans had decided to hunt them into extinction. This is the murder site of many creatures, all of which had committed no crime..." There was a growl to his words, anger and hate flowing through every single one of them. Tobias had clearly touched a nerve, though he could see that this was something that was a part of Kunal's own history. Why else would he be so angry? Nodding, Tobias step aside, following the closest of the whispered voices. Tobias pause, looking back to Kunal, who was standing now and following close behind. " I shall accompany you..." Nodding, Tobias focus on his task at hand, following the voice before him. His eyes close and he focus on the words, attempting to single them out from the rest. It was mostly sobs, stuttered and filled with pleading, begging, and praying. As the two drew closer the words seemed to become more panicked, until suddenly they erupt into a shrill screaming. Screaming that caused Tobias' body to jerk, paws thrust to his ears as if attempting to quell the sound. " Shh! Shh! It's okay!" Tobias screamed, attempting to be heard over the screaming. A screaming which Kunal could not hear. "What?" Kunal spoke, confusion in his tone, though his face wore only a mask, now, no emotion shown. "Shh! S-Stop!" As if the spirit were assaulting Tobias' very core he began to feel sick, his stomach turning with the waves of fear and terror that assault him. The spirit was much like a trapped animal, clawing and biting at the one thing that it seemed able to actually touch nearest to it, this being Tobias'. "S...Stop..." Tobias fell, the sheer force of terror overwhelming his mind and leaving him collapsing before the figure known as Kunal.

When Tobias woke he found that he had been moved. He was back near the river, his body partially submerged and the cool waters lapping along his fur. It was refreshing, though even more so as he roll over and drew deeply the cool waters of the river, attempting to quell the new thirst that plague him. "Good...I had thought the waters would restore you..." Spoke Kunal's voice from somewhere behind Tobias. Finishing his drink, Tobias heave a heavy sigh, his head still yet throbbing from the assault of the spirit. He sat a moment, expecting Kunal to question what had happened, though he did no such thing. As Tobias turn to view the other male he caught Kunal watching him, the oddest expression etched along the others face. A long moment passed where the two watch one another, a multitude of things running through each of their minds. Kunal had clearly been the reasoning the spirit had reacted the way it had. He had something to do with the massive spiritual presence here. Perhaps this was why he had been guided to this place...He needed to clear his mind. He needed to seek guidance. "I need to rest, it is late anyway." Tobias said as he wade further into the water. Choosing a spot for himself, just where his body would be covered with water, his snout the only thing above the surface so as to breath. Tobias use his tail as an anchor, wiggling it deep into the soft earth of the river so as to not float away. "I will stay with you." Kunal said, just as Tobias lowered himself into the water. Tobias found it sweet, though he also couldn't help but feel a little unnerved. The spirit was terrified of Kunal for a reason, after all...

Noah is Tobias' brother and his only remaining family. Tobias grew up looking up to Noah a great deal, longing to be exactly like Noah. After Tobias was hit with his depression and left for his self discovery he physically aged beyond Noah, who time has no hold on. Eventually the spirits granted Tobias the same timeless trait as Noah, so as to return Noah to his once happy state. Though Tobias had needed to discover himself he still greatly adores everything his brother is. He had been his guiding light through life, after all. This would be the one person on earth that Tobias would do absolutely anything for.

Kunal and his forest were discovered after a long meditation. The river he had chosen had taken Tobias directly into the center of Kunal's forest and deposited him before the very eyes of Kunal. Kunal is almost a consuming force for Tobias, the quiet, almost expressionless viscet seems to almost radiate power. Kunal seemed just about as curious of Tobias, though Kunals own curiosity seemed to be conflicted. Being so closely connected with the deceased and spirits, Tobias has come to learn a great deal of things about Kunal of which he can simply not believe. Though Kunal has done him no wrong, the spirits speak of cruelty and wickedness. Perhaps Tobias can see this in the conflicted viscet he has come face to face with. He longs to help Kunal, to teach him that life is not as bad outside his forest as he thinks it is, that there are some good creatures within the world as well. This is easier said than done, though... as the biggest obstacle in his way is Jude - Kunal's manipulative brother...

Tobias did not meet Jude until well after he had spent time with Kunal. It was clear the moment that Jude saw Tobias that the two would simply not get along, even though Tobias did his best to diffuse the situation. Jude was extremely angry that someone had come in through his river and was now inside his brothers forest. Not only that, he seemed even more upset that Kunal was associating with someone. Jude's cruelty towards Kunal angered Tobias, though he continued to try and diffuse the situation. Tobias knows that Jude is an actual threat to his life, as the spirits within the forest had warned him of this brother. Tobias had simply hoped that Jude would be similar to Kunal...He was sadly mistaken. Jude is wicked, to his very core. The most Tobias could hope for would be to survive every meeting with this viscet.
