When leaves turn gold
Autumn leaves
Smooth, shiny, and gold
Falling at the bay

When the cardinals
Red cardinals
Feathers as rubies
Fly along your way

When foxes, russet foxes
Fur as amber
Join you in your stay

When the red moon
The red harvest moon
Red pearls light your night as day

When the autumn chikadee sings
When the autumn stag leaps
When the autumn wolf howls
When the autumn dusk draws near
At the end of each autumn day

Your autumn gems
Have come to stay
