:What is a Kirnniu?:
Kirus are very good climbers and live in trees. have both fur and feathers. fur can vary from hairless to like 1 foot long. Sometimes matting can be an extreme problem. their feathers are on the back of their head, their back, and sometimes their tail. they use their tails to show their emotion, communicate, and find their mates. although they can communicate with noises, most prefer to use their tails (unless tailless). Kiru have fins that can be folded up on the backs of their front legs. They have these fins because they are extremely good swimmers. They use these fins to help propel themselves in the water. while swimming, these creatures make graceful mini-o's with their front paws while also moving them up and down in a doggie paddle (no splashing). they move their tales in a sweeping motion while swimming and use them for better steering. they hardly have to move their back legs at all, as long as they keep their tail above water, they only occasionally kick. Their feathers and fur are waterproof if groomed at least every 24 hours. Kirus are herbivores AKA they eat bugs, plants, and vegetables. Tailless kiru tend to either be extremely shy or extremely violent. The fins on their front legs are not only used for swimming, but in their mating dance as well (like in paper fans). When mating, the males tend to try to impress the females with their fins and feathers while doing their mating dance, which includes hopping on their back paws and showing off their butts and feathers like male peacocks. The females and males both tend to (Normally) go for the opposite sex with the same size tail. their large ears have feathers on the end of them. Their hearing is excellent. They normally live in warm, tropical areas, though some have been known to live in colder places. Kirus fins have poisonous barbs on the end that they sometimes will strike with. the poison on the barbs causes the thing poisoned to be petrified for 3-5 hours. Kirus have a spot on their hind leg which is a darker shade of their feathers which has the same barbs and poison as the fins (these barbs are hidden), except these ones are for when they're being chased so if anything tries to bite them there they are petrified. all a Kirus teeth and flat, since they are herbivores, except for two (one on each side) teeth in the back which are extremely sharp. normally used as a last resort, these teeth work like a snake’s. they have venom inside which will kill the thing that is bitten after some time. they cannot retract them however, and other kiru cannot be poisoned by these fangs. When a kiru is killed, there is a 50% chance the poison from its teeth and legs will spread though out its entire body, rendering it useless and un-editable. most animals are unaware of this 50% of death. Their normal body size can range from 3 feet tall to 4 feet tall and anywhere in-between. These creatures have a dew claw on their front paws off to the side to help them tear apart bark to get the bugs underneath. Keri sometimes stick up their giant tales, like skunks when they're scared. Female Keri can have up to 4 babies. The Keri babies are called Chicks because of their lack of feathers. The female Keri has 3 chances to bear children. Kiru live on a planet called Hetibi. Hetibi is very common for its ore, oil, and natural recourses. There aren't a lot of oceans on Hetibi, only 2, The Hatzetar [Had-ze-tar] and the Potrimety [Poe-Trim-ity], these oceans are very large. Hatzetar is the north ocean and potrimety is the south ocean. Hetibi is only 40% water and 60% land. Hetibi is known for the volcanos on it's sandy beaches and deserts.
