Tanugi Weasels
[six legged mustelids]
What is it?
This little creature is called a Tanugi. They are a species classified as a mustelid, related to weasels, ferrets, wolverines, and the like. They are fully domesticated, friendly, and high in genetic diversity.
Here are this Adoptable Center you are able to adopt your very own Tanugies!

Description
The Tanugi is a rather unusual mustelid. They are unique in that they have 6 functional limbs. Like most mustelids they are plantigrade, walking on their whole foot as opposed to just the toes. The tail is short-medium in length and bushy. A very thick mane is formed around the neck, and is able to "bristle" out when threatened, making the Tanugi appear much larger. While there are several ear variations, in general Tanugi ears are narrow and heavily furred, though bare of fur on the inside. Their eyes are large and reflective, being designed for night-time vision as Tanugies are naturally nocturnal. Tanugies have very powerful jaws capable of tearing through meat that has been frozen solid.
Rarities*
Common: natural colors for fur, markings, and eyes, short and long ears, snaggle or irregular teeth
Uncommon: unnatural colors for fur, markings, and eyes, edits to ear shape, bangs/fringes/the longer parts of the fur, more fur, "high whites" (large areas covered by white, includes albinism), very light colors (lilac, beige, etc)
Rare: "rex" (curly hair), shorter tails, bright unnatural colors
Very Rare: teeth not showing, extra tails or ears, missing limbs (though never less than five legs are allowed), short hair, alterations to body shape caused by genetic alterations or bone deformation (curved spines, dwarfism, missing limbs, etc)

Breedings:
Currently closed
Will be run on a ticket system
Additions can be bought to increase chances of inheritance
An artist must do the breeding
Tanugi breeding habits:
Female Tanugis (Jills) can have anywhere from 1 to 4 kits
Male Tanugis (Hobs) help rear the children, even if they aren't biologically related
Tanugis do not mate for life and can have as many mates as they wish
All Tanugis reach maturity 2 weeks after made/adopted
All Tanugis must wait at least a week between breedings
Jills can breed up to 5 times in their lives, Hobs up to 6
Same gender breedings are allowed
Inbreeding isn't allowed
Kits can grow after you've owned them for 2 weeks
Genetics:
All Tanugi breedings will be based off a set of genetic markers
These genetics take dominants and recessives into consideration
More common traits will be more dominant
The more generations in a Tanugi is the more a chance of a recessive popping up there is
Additions can be purchased to increase the chances of certain traits showing up
