I always found it hard to believe that I had been born in a rainstorm. I had been told from the moment I stood up that my mother had found me near a tree when I was younger. I had never seen this place, to my knowledge, and I sure didn't care what they aid, I was born in a stall like everyone else. They were just making things up about my name, that's all.
Well, on a ride in an unfamiliar acre with her, she pointed towards a tree.
"That's where I found you, Todd," she said.
I took a look around and noted the river, the tree, the winding path...
Exactly how she described it. I misstepped, and my rider stopped to make sure I was okay. I danced away from him and moved toward the tree, running around and smelling everything and listening hard. It was wonderful, I finally believed her stories. I looked at her from near the tree, and she smiled and said, "You look just as bewildered as the day I found you. I'm glad I did."
With that, my rider got back on and carried him back, giving my mother a nuzzle.
I felt special to have been born in those circumstances.
